Birthday in Brighton.. (and meeting Zoella!)

Myself,  Zoe & Sophie
It was my birthday yesterday! I've had the pleasure of of spending the weekend in Brighton with Ben, and also saw my friend Sophie, after months of separation since she went to uni. If you've never visited Brighton before, I strongly suggest you go, as the huge range of shops will keep you entertained for hours! Here's a quick overview of what I got up to!
Sunday night, much to my surprise, I bumped into Zoe Sugg, AKA Zoella! She was so so lovely, and just like she is in her videos. We even had the same jacket on! (see above) It turns out we also featured in her VLOGMAS video HERE. At approximately 6:52, we can be seen in the right hand corner.. Only a few seconds, but enough to get me excited! This was literally a few seconds before we met her, after she'd finished vlogging. The timing couldn't have been more perfect!
Afterwards, I walked around in disbelief, saying nothing but 'I can't believe it!' for a few hours!

'Condtioner Only' Washing (CO) - An Introduction

Hello everybody!
First of all, I'd like to take a moment to apologise for the quality of the photographs on my blog. I'm currently without a camera, as I sold my DSLR over summer to make some much needed money, so I'm afraid phone-quality & artificial light is the best I can do at the moment!

Everybody with hair.. (especially those with dry/dyed hair).. listen up! Today I'm going to be talking about something which you may have heard of before - a method of washing your hair that uses just one product, really cheap conditioner. It's not as strange as you may think, and the results are astounding!

Ikea HELMER Storage Drawers

It's no secret that I'm a big Ikea fan, my room is filled with those lovely white SKURAR plant pots, and pretty much every piece of my furniture is from there. Admittedly, I regret not getting everything in white, but what can I say, 13 year old Amy made some bad decisions. For now I'll just live with the mix-matched monochrome look and pretend it was intended.

Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm

Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm - £37.00
Today I am reviewing my favourite beauty product.. ever. This little blue pot is an absolute miracle worker! I first found out about it when I was given a little tester sachet by my manager, and I was ever so impressed. I used the tester as a mask, and my skin was so smooth and soft, it was incredible! It's not exactly a cheap product, but the consistency of it means that it'll last a long time.

I opted for 125 Crazy Sexy Crimson (left) and 335 Hot Date (right). They are described as 'luscious lipsticks that give a stunning pop of colour and rich moisture, infused with a subtle rose scent.'

Essie - Bordeaux

I've done it again, I've fallen in love. This time with an Essie nail polish, and only the second one I've tried! A few weeks back, I picked up Essie 'Master Plan', and fell in love with the shape of the brush, and how long it lasted on my nails, even after a weekend of picking labels off candles at work!

Dying my hair!

If you know me personally, you'll know that I used to dye my hair... Probably monthly. I'd always be trying new things, claiming 'this'll be the last time.. I swear!'
Currently, it's still very much blonde, (I'm going to miss it so much!) with my natural roots showing though, as shown further down. (..not going to miss that as much.)

L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer

L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer - £14.29
I bought this primer a couple of weeks ago, as I was running low on Benefit's 'That Gal' Brightening primer, and had never tried anything else. In Boots, I rubbed a little from the tester on the back of my hand, and ran to the till! I loved it. It claims to mask wrinkles and uneven textures in the skin, making the complexion feel smooth and soft, with a remarkable velvety touch.' - and I couldn't agree more. My skin looks noticeably different after application, and although I can't comment on the wrinkle masking claims, it really does help to even everything out, and make it super soft.

New Bloglovin account & exciting news!

Hello everybody!
Important announcement!
As I recently bought a domain name, my old Bloglovin account is linked to the wrong address! (Again!)
If you could give my new one a quick follow, that'd be really lovely.
Either click the button under 'New Bloglovin' on the right
Or click right here!
Follow on Bloglovin
If you don't have a Bloglovin account, it's really quick to create one, and you don't have to be a blogger to get one.  I'd also really recommend the Bloglovin app, as you can see new updates and posts from your favourite bloggers all in one place!
Thank you!
I also have some pretty exciting news.. all will be revealed on Wednesday, so keep your eyes peeled!

Lily Lolo Mineral Powder Foundation Review

Today I am reviewing the Lily Lolo Mineral Powder Foundation! I've fallen in love with this product so much, and believe it or not, it's amazing at covering blemishes. I've had a rather nasty breakout on my chin recently (non-product related!) and surprisingly when using this, I don't even need to reach for a concealer. This is the first time I've tried a powder foundation, and here are my thoughts!

The Body Shop - Mini Haul

Hello everybody!
It's been a while since I've made a purchase from The Body Shop, but after my local store's recent renovation, me and my mum decided to pop in and have a look around. I ended up walking out with just a little face brush available HERE (.. which I highly recommend!) but it was an offer I received by email a few days after which lead to all of this! I'm not sure if it's still on or not, but it was 50% off everything when you buy 8 products. I ended up buying around £50 worth of stuff for only £25 with free delivery! Not bad at all.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3-in1 Micellar Water Review

Hello everyone!
I've been using this cleanser/makeup remover for a couple of months now, and it's safe to say I am in love! Long gone are the days of crinkly wipe packets, and desperate rubbing to remove make up - this solution helps to sweep away every single trace.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Review

Hello! Once again I apologise for the inconsistent flow of posts on here.. I'm trying my best!

Recently I picked up the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I got the 100ml pump version and 2 muslin cloths from John Lewis.
I've been using this every morning and evening for just over 3 weeks, and here are my initial thoughts.

DIY - Painting the town white!

I've had this little chest of drawers beside my bed for as long as I can remember, but I was growing tired of the brown wood, as it didn't match anything else in my room (the rest of my furniture is black). So, last week, me and Ben got the paintbrushes out, and attacked it with white paint. I absolutely love the result, as it looks so much tidier and brighter!

H&M Face Mask Review

Whilst shopping in H&M recently, I spotted a large basket of assorted face masks for just 99p each. I grabbed a few white I was queuing, and had a chance to try a few out the other day. I used the Dead Sea Mineral mask (not pictured) and was really pleasantly surprised with the results. My skin looked really noticeably clearer, and it helped to fade red areas of my face. So far, I've repurchased that one four times, and I'm looking forward to using the others as well!

Hands off!

Normally I don't really give much thought to my hands. They don't really get dry, so I rarely need to use hand cream, but since I found these lovely rings in River Island for just £2 each, I've begun to make a bit more of an effort.
The one on the left is a thumb ring, and has tiny cut-out heart detail on it. I usually wouldn't go for this kind of thing, but I find it very comfortable on my thumb, and it makes a very easy to wear accessory. The other two are midi rings, and I have seen them absolutely everywhere recently! They also do some 'crossover' rings, but they only had these in size XS when I went in. I find these very flattering, as my fingers usually tend to look a little stumpy. I wear them both on the same finger, with a tiny gap in between, as I find this gives the best effect.

Sorry, it's been a while!

Hello everyone! I'd really better apologize for not updating this in well over a month! But finally, my exams are over, college is finished, and I have lot of free time again. Quite a lot has happened since I last posted, and I've got a few more posts planned for over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled.

But before I forget, I've got a little someone to introduce to you..
Meet Peter!

Recent purchases!

Pay day finally arrived, along with a nice bonus! I thought I'd make the most of it, and treat myself to a few things I wouldn't usually get.

What's in my makeup bag?

I thought I'd better go ahead and do one of these posts while everything in my makeup bag is still looking 'relatively' new to save me giving everything a good scrub beforehand! (Admittedly my brushes do need a wash, despite being done 3 days ago!)
Here I will go through each item, and give my honest opinion on each of them.
I hope you enjoy!
