<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've had many different answers for the question 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' From a young age I knew I didn't want my career to rule my life, unless it was something I absolutely loved doing. As most people are probably aware, it's not that easy getting the income you want doing a job you really <i>love. </i></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been quite fortunate in that I've had many good experiences with work throughout my life. It all began around 5 years ago at a little Yankee Candle shop next to a garden centre. I worked there part time during college and loved every minute of it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="" aria-busy="false" aria-describedby="fbPhotosSnowliftCaption" class="spotlight" height="240" src="https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/263796_10151280113001734_878356293_n.jpg?oh=816ab98fda0c28c36c62a90487393423&oe=588F65B9" width="320" /><img alt="" aria-busy="false" aria-describedby="fbPhotosSnowliftCaption" class="spotlight" height="240" src="https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/1474491_10151724727701734_1679671033_n.jpg?oh=8ac649271753cacea32bd79053b39f79&oe=58CEE494" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then went to work for John Lewis for a bit over the Christmas period. Leaving Yankee Candle was one of my biggest regrets. I missed the close-knit feel of the team there, and coming home with hair smelling like candles each day. John Lewis wasn't the same, and the Christmas rush made me feel more like a little worker bee rather than an individual who's work is appreciated.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After I finished at John Lewis, I got a job at Boots Opticians. I remember going in for my interview and feeling the excitement bubble inside of me. You know all those fancy machines they use before you see the optometrist? I got to use those on a daily basis for two years. The novelty never really wore off, it was an exciting job, and such a huge range of people to deal with each day. All ages, all walks of life. I learned quite a lot about optics during my time there - something I'd never really given a second thought about previously. At one point I wanted to continue my training to become an optician specialising in contact lenses. I guess you never know where life will lead you!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="" aria-busy="false" aria-describedby="fbPhotosSnowliftCaption" class="spotlight" height="320" src="https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/12390988_10153870464410982_7800081511370396397_n.jpg?oh=2b91a3b0016720c835bc4fc4d65accf1&oe=58987B53" width="320" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYfUvdpxSssRE_zQgKgRoyQh3ZqUHU2HKZKascx_pQv6IiPLbWZQhnVYQo02yfH8XQvL9HPsAZMFzgw-iYDgP61OnV1jOlQUPJM-ofTyM5j8bmNYWAne0e3v7sx81muZuqASU0wy_XUdE/s1600/IMG_6379.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYfUvdpxSssRE_zQgKgRoyQh3ZqUHU2HKZKascx_pQv6IiPLbWZQhnVYQo02yfH8XQvL9HPsAZMFzgw-iYDgP61OnV1jOlQUPJM-ofTyM5j8bmNYWAne0e3v7sx81muZuqASU0wy_XUdE/s320/IMG_6379.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This time last year, a Yankee Candle shop was due to open up in a large city near my hometown. I applied immediately. I got an interview, and got the position as a supervisor. (I know this all sounds very dramatic, but this was such a big moment for me. A chance to work for my favourite company again and relive the memories from my first ever job!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img height="360" src="https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14573041_10154760177030982_4812145577499696928_n.jpg?oh=55833743e884ee8e211da679cd6eb607&oe=58C442BA" style="user-select: none;" width="640" /></div>
<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I quit.</h3>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I handed in my resignation, holding back tears as I did so.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I miss my old co-workers so much. I've never felt so 'at home' at work. In a good way - I cared about the store such a lot, and never found myself waking up thinking 'urgh, work again.' There was always something to look forward to. I feel as though I really (don't laugh) found myself whilst working there. My confidence grew and grew, and I learned so many valuable life lessons. Big shout out to Bailey for being a super manager and supporting me through some really tough times! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was quite possibly having the best time I may ever have at work (umm, but let's be optimistic here..!) but I decided it was time for a change. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="Cheesy grins all around, we're going to miss you @ellasehic!! 💔" class="media-single-media" height="320" src="https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/c135.0.810.810/13187948_1618460851808923_683829658_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTI1MDkxMzgzNjk1NDI3OTM0MA%3D%3D.2.c" width="320" /><img alt="Feeling peachy at work today 🍑 #yankeecandle" class="media-single-media" height="320" src="https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/c1.0.1078.1078/13118121_578821582280475_703566177_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTI0MTU0ODk2Nzc3MTYyNzI2OQ%3D%3D.2.c" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had decided to move to Devon, over a hundred miles away from the house I'd lived in since I was born. Just shy of 22 years under the same roof. I made a slightly risky decision to leave before securing work in my new hometown, and in hindsight I would have probably got my skates on a little earlier and stood my feet on more solid ground. However - it all worked out, and I think I'm almost out the other side. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got a new job. I haven't started yet, but I'm very excited.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I'm going to be a postwoman!</span></h3>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Just the other day I re-discovered an old book of mine from around 2011: 'My Future Listography - All I Hope To Do In Lists.' On a page titled 'List your dream jobs'.. fifth row down, just underneath 'Manager of a Yankee Candle shop..' there it was. Written in pencil 5 years ago. 'Postwoman in the West Country.'</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What do I want to be when I 'grow up?' I'm not sure, but the freedom I found in starting afresh puts my mind at rest about ever possibly feeling 'trapped' in a job. You are never truly trapped, just lacking the drive, bravery.. or perhaps the right motivation to make a change. It's scary, and yes it's risky - but I had my fingers crossed that it'll all work out, and it did.</div>

I have a lot of content planned, and a lot of new and VERY exciting changes in my life to share, so keep popping back for (fingers crossed..) regular updates on what's been going on! I'm going to break it down into sections, so here's part one of however many...<br />

Meet Olive and Willow!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd never owned a cat before, but always wanted one since I was a little girl. When I was about 6/7, I would scrawl little messages on scraps of paper and hand them to my parents<br />
<i>''Please can we get a cat, I will look after it </i><br />
<i>and it won't scratch anything and I will pay, pleaseeee!!'</i><br />
I think I even had an imaginary cat at one point! We nearly always had a dog, either our own or a close relative<br />
who we saw often, so cats were never really able to come into the equation.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="So, Willow seems to be a bit of a poser. Sadly Olive was too busy having breakfast to join us. I've only had them 4 days so far, but I love them to pieces 😘 Update: they now have their own Instagram account! @willow.and.olive 🐱" class="media-single-media" height="640" src="https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/12783894_1686649418290692_2027572742_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTE5NTUzOTY5MDc1NDEzNzA4OA%3D%3D.2" width="640" /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found these two fluffballs advertised online as the family's puppy chased them and played with them - not that the cats minded, they're so floppy you could do anything with them! But for safety reasons they were looking for a new home. So of course, they came home with me. I believe Willow is a Persian cross, and Olive is a British Shorthair.<br />
They haven't always been called Olive and Willow. Their original names were Cuddles and Roxy, but 'Cuddles' (Olive) wasn't really a fan of cuddling, and besides, I'd already dreamt up their new names before I found out. Thankfully, they adapted to their new names almost instantly, and now come running when you call them!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=7433984158696996265" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0;"><img alt="A little snooze after a visit to the vets for a microchip 💤" border="0" class="media-single-media" height="320" src="https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/12750375_1702076156675047_1980940087_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTE5NjU3MTAxNjEwOTM1OTA1NA%3D%3D.2" width="320" /></a><a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=7433984158696996265" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0;"><img alt="The cutest little cat 🐱" border="0" class="media-single-media" height="320" src="https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/14718287_695750927246138_342243953585684480_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTM3MzU4Njg2NzcxODY3MjIyMw%3D%3D.2" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They settled in quite fast, they were kept indoors for the first month or two, but then gradually let them venture outside and explore the garden. I've since moved house (more on that in another post!) and I think they like it here too - they've managed to get their own 'cat window', which they tell us to open by meowing loudly and staring at it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Olive has the loudest, strangest purr I've ever heard in my whole life. And it's constant - she does it for hours at a time! I really should put a video up somewhere because it's the weirdest thing. She also does 'silent meows', where she will meow and open her mouth, but no sound comes out. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIqYZAvwezD9rrCmKAlCcymhtKj1uVLsBeIV0_qVglks1dS9_dhnxPSvTOq7hnaZeDvgfGpAUa0pyGKCkfBCvwze5XWcW-17UM0kZVRQ1qDeGFh7rKQV_dIXEJgBoDgUPPq3rT5aDN3tk/s1600/IMG_6105.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIqYZAvwezD9rrCmKAlCcymhtKj1uVLsBeIV0_qVglks1dS9_dhnxPSvTOq7hnaZeDvgfGpAUa0pyGKCkfBCvwze5XWcW-17UM0kZVRQ1qDeGFh7rKQV_dIXEJgBoDgUPPq3rT5aDN3tk/s640/IMG_6105.JPG" width="639" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Owning a cat is vastly different to having a dog around, <i>some </i>cats are loyal - well let's say most - but you definitely feel your heart break a little bit when you call their name and they look the opposite direction. Thankfully these two have always been quite needy, always rubbing against your legs, begging to be stroked or carried, and we're learning more and more about them each day.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
So, on Tuesday I <i>finally</i> turned 21! We booked a gorgeous Airbnb apartment in London for a few days. I was completely blown away at just how pretty the apartment was - lots of future home inspiration. The main highlight of our stay was DEFINITELY the underfloor heating. Insanely jealous of anybody who lives with that on a daily basis.</div>

On the first day, we popped off to Liberty in the evening, when all the crowds had died down. It was my first visit, and it made me feel so festive! I was treated to some gorgeous Acne Pistol Boots (which I had been lusting after for quite some time!) and bought myself a lovely grey Mulberry scarf, because Treat Yo' Self!</div>

On my birthday, after a very lovely lie-in, a bubble bath and far too much chocolate.. We wandered around London for a bit, before getting our skates on at Somerset House. The setting couldn't have been any more perfect! Aside from a rather large bruise (yep, I fell over..) we had a wonderful time.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Afterwards, we popped off to The Strand and had some pizza and wine for dinner before heading back to the dreamy apartment to give our legs some well needed rest.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I do wish I'd taken more photos during our stay, but London is so busy, you barely get a chance to breathe! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the third day, we sadly packed our bags and headed back home, taking a de-tour to one of my favourite childhood garden centres. (I can't be the only one who loves a good garden centre at christmas, can I?!) Much to my amazement, the two resident goats were still there after all these years! We also met an owl, and *almost* bought a build your own gingerbread village. I kinda regret not taking that to the till now..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All in all, a really lovely couple of days, and I am now <b>thoroughly</b> ready for Christmas! </div>

Is it just me, or did Autumn just fly by this year? I take that back - the whole year has! It's December in just two weeks, and the panic of not yet having any Christmas shopping sorted is beginning to set in already. The John Lewis Christmas advert is out, (yes, I did shed a little tear) and my town's Christmas Market opens tomorrow. <a href="http://www.christmasinwinchester.co.uk/" target="_blank">(Well worth a visit if you live locally!)</a></div>

It seems the golden leaves barely spent any time at all on the branches this year. Luckily, a few weeks ago I managed to get out into the middle of the New Forest with a camera whilst they were at their best! Here are a few snaps from our walk.</div>

I hope you enjoyed this rather short post - I'm off to London for my birthday, so no doubt I'll pop a little something up then as well. I also have a couple of product reviews lined up, so keep your eyes peeled! :)</div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBV8f35FrBAC-Pnwem53cxiimeZlLZv0r8gaUhtw6zJzFP5b6kCJRcpbmqb6zCJHWh5WrXhQC9P5OcHAQf5jOeGfMvzt9gLKiFSWdOoqPKm7yz3yRSYW6uPvWt7eFe-rvzcYVjOnkjNtU/s1600/IMG_3369.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="406" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBV8f35FrBAC-Pnwem53cxiimeZlLZv0r8gaUhtw6zJzFP5b6kCJRcpbmqb6zCJHWh5WrXhQC9P5OcHAQf5jOeGfMvzt9gLKiFSWdOoqPKm7yz3yRSYW6uPvWt7eFe-rvzcYVjOnkjNtU/s1600/IMG_3369.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have been completely won over by both of these cleansers, and they work in perfect harmony to give me <i>the</i> cleanest face I think I've ever had, and the most effective double cleanse I've tried. I must admit it took me way too long to realise that these both have 'ultra' in their names!</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I begin with <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/products/ultrabland" target="_blank">Lush's Ultrabland</a> cleanser, which dissolves makeup almost instantly. It's thick creamy texture feels so soothing. It smells a little bit like honey, but it's nothing too overpowering. I have to say, this reminds me slightly of Emma Hardie's Cleansing Balm in the way that it feels and works, but this is a lot thicker, richer and a little harder to remove. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this reason I always follow it up with a tiny dollop <a href="http://www.kiehls.co.uk/skin-care/by-category/cleansers-scrubs-masques/ultra-facial-cleanser" target="_blank">Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser</a>, just to make sure every last scrap of makeup and Ultrabland is removed.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I picked this up earlier on in the month, whilst in London (a bit of an last-minute impulse buy, if I'm honest. You should see my cleanser collection..), and I have used it every day since. I'd been avoiding foamy face washes for quite a while as often I find them too harsh and drying, but I'd missed the way they really make your skin feel 'super clean'. This cleanser is <i>so</i> gentle, but I do find it does take quite a bit of rinsing as I'm not used to having a bubbly face! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the mornings, I'll skip Ultrabland and just use the Kiehl's, and I still never feel any dryness or irritation. But if I use <i>just</i> Ultrabland at night, I do occasionally feel like some of the product is left on my face, hence the double cleanse.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My skin looks brighter, clearer and seems to respond better to any serums or treatments I apply afterwards. I really can't see myself changing this little routine anytime soon, I think I've found my ultimate pairing!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's been a while, but let's move on..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Recently, (and thankfully) my skin has been getting clearer by the day, meaning I have more time to experiment with other areas of my makeup, rather than concentrating on getting my base perfect every morning.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've opted for the <i><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Yves-Saint-Laurent-Forever-Youth-Liberator-Foundation-30ml_1367926/" target="_blank">YSL Youth Liberator Serum foundation</a></i> in the lighest shade. I bought this last year, but hadn't been able to really test it out properly as it gives quite light (but buildable) coverage, and I'd needed something a little more heavy duty. I find I only need a tiny pump of this, and I buff it into my skin using the <i><a href="https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/makeup-brushes/face/102-silk-finish/a-8000105/" target="_blank">Zoeva Silk Finish brush.</a></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then use a dab of <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/radiant-creamy-concealer/MUS300023892.html" target="_blank"><i>NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer </i>in<i> 'Chantilly'</i></a> on any areas which need a little more coverage. I set my base with a very light dusting of <a href="http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/159/30734/Products/Face/Powder/Mineralize-Skinfinish-Natural/index.tmpl" target="_blank"><i>MAC's Mineralise Skinfinish </i>in<i> 'Light'</i>,</a> and a bit of <i><a href="http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/159/30735/Products/Face/Powder/Mineralize-Skinfinish/index.tmpl" target="_blank">'Lightscapade'</a></i> across the top of my cheeks as a highlight.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up, my favourite discovery this year - <i><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/benefit-dandelion-pink-perk-me-up-face-powder_7692/" target="_blank">Benefit's blush/highlight 'Dandelion'</a></i>. This beautiful powder gives a subtle glow to the skin, along with a pinch of colour. It's the perfect thing to brighten up my pale cheeks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I quickly run <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-ARCHERY%E2%84%A2-2-in-1-Brow-Filling-Pencil-Brush_1524204/" target="_blank"><i>Soap & Glory Archery brow pencil </i>in<i> 'Blondeshell'</i></a> through my brows, before lining my upper lash line with <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Paris-Super-Liner-Midnight_1379494/" target="_blank"><i>L'Oreal Superliner</i> in <i>Black</i></a>, and adding a small flick. I've been using this eyeliner for years and years, and I've yet to find one that does a better job, or lasts as long.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I finish by coating my lashes with <i><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/benefit-Roller-Lash-mascara_1654256/" target="_blank">Benefit's Roller Lash mascara</a></i> <u>(Note: definitely worth the hype)</u>, and popping a bit of <i><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Clarins-Instant-Light-Natural-Lip-Balm-Perfector_1646520/" target="_blank">Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in '03 My Pink'</a></i> on my lips. This balm moisturises <i>so well, </i>and this particular colour comes out slightly different on everybody. On me, its a beautiful subtle mid pink. I'm keen to try the others in this range!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you enjoyed this post, I'm glad to be back!</div>

Fair-skinned, and find it difficult to find a foundation that matches your skin tone?<br />
Stop what you're doing and continue reading!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Say hello to Illamasqua's Skin Base in 01. I no longer need to worry about leaving the house with a mismatched face/neck combo. It works perfectly well with every foundation I've tried it with so far, especially Esteé Lauder Double Wear (which I have been reaching for a lot lately, as my skin has taken another turn for the worst!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I usually mix it on my hand, 1/6 or so with my usual, and find that it lightens it up a shade or two, and doesn't effect the consistency of my foundation either.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've used a white 'mixer' foundation in the past, (Barry M - many years ago), but I found that it made my foundation almost mask-like, as it was such a thick cream. This one is so much better, I'm not sure how I managed without it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd been meaning to get my hands on it for about a year, and I wish I hadn't waited so long. I will 100% be repurchasing this when it runs out, and am also keen to try it in some actual colours as well, as I'm really impressed with the quality. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The only foundation I don't feel the need to use it with, is NARS Siberia, as it's the only one I've found to be pale enough straight out of the bottle. However, with such a wide range of foundations in my makeup drawer, it feels like such a waste to turn my back on all of them. Thanks to this, I don't have to!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you ever given this foundation a go, or tried mixing your own colour match before?</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Last year was pretty uneventful, with most things feeling like they'd be held off until this year. I felt quite overwhelmed for the most part, I began full time work last summer, which is probably why it feels like the months whizzed past so quickly. I finally feel as though I've found my feet once again.<br />
2014 was the year of preparation, 2015 is the year of<i> </i>putting those preparations into practice, and<i> doing</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Already, 2015 has thrown a few surprises at me.<br />
<br />
One of my best friends got engaged on New Year's Eve and<br />
has asked me to be Maid of Honour at their wedding.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ben now has a car of his own, which means I'll be doing less of my<br />
midnight car journeys to pick him up from work,<br />
and we'll be able to share the chore of driving between us.<br />
<br />
I've just started a new medication, so my health has the potential<br />
to improve greatly this year, I'm feeling very optimistic about that.<br />
<br />
I feel as though I'm getting to grips with managing my finances well,<br />
which means that moving out could finally become a real possibility.<br />
<br />
There has been a discussion between friends about another group holiday,<br />
and that's exactly what I need. I didn't take much time out to stop and<br />
relax last year, and I don't want to make that mistake again.<br />
<br />
My blog has taken the backseat once again recently, but the flurry of<br />
'new year' blog posts has inspired me no end, and I'm feeling<br />
very hopeful for the future of this little place.<br />
I'm keen to make it a little more personal, and I have a re-design<br />
planned for the near future.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">We're over one week in already, but happy new year to you all!</span></b></div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxtbmwSvf1zInC2jQFiuW8SZuSN-n784b_Ii46W-sWcedYDje6GRRM_rQg2MfKDJEF0HfN97FTPWhfnf4z1tDnsBR84BVn57BenADzhVi0gUZyk-8gmmMXtMECg3ZZwLijtYSDjSCdLuY/s1600/IMG_2971.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxtbmwSvf1zInC2jQFiuW8SZuSN-n784b_Ii46W-sWcedYDje6GRRM_rQg2MfKDJEF0HfN97FTPWhfnf4z1tDnsBR84BVn57BenADzhVi0gUZyk-8gmmMXtMECg3ZZwLijtYSDjSCdLuY/s1600/IMG_2971.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a love/hate relationship with my skin. Some days I will wake up, and it'll be fine. Other times, it'll take one glance in the mirror, and I'll want to immediately climb back beneath the covers. Unfortunately, on such days, this is not always possible. So here are a few products that I use to keep my unpredictable skin in line.. and do the best I can to ensure every day is a good-skin-day!</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First up, something I've only recently picked up.. the <b>Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel.</b> I honestly don't know why I didn't pick this up earlier. A good moisturiser was something that I was really lacking in my skincare routine. I'd pop on my Effaclar duo [+], slap on some suncream, and go about my day as usual, then be faced with unhappy oily skin by the end of it. My skin was oily because it needed more moisture.. <i>and I cannot stress how much of a valuable lesson this is to learn.</i> For absolutely ages I had bypassed this idea as 'something that wouldn't work for my skin,' I'd been scared to use moisturisers for the fear that my skin would react badly from the extra moisture, but I can happily say that by adding this product into my daily routine, not only is my skin less oily, but much softer as well. A definite win-win.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next.. something that I had dismissed from my skincare routine for almost a year. I'm sorry, <b>Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish</b>! I had originally thought that this product had been the cause of my bad breakouts last winter, but it turns out my skin just really disagrees with the colder weather, as the same thing has happened this year. So, I welcome this product back with open arms. The smell is wonderful, and the results are pretty great too. I use this alongside my <b>Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm</b> still, of course!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And how could I possibly write a post like this and not include my favourite <b>Effaclar Duo [+]</b>??! I've recently tried out the entire <b>Effaclar 3-Step Anti-Blemish System</b>*, and wow! A truly wonderful set of products. The toner is a definitely a brilliant addition to the range, as this year I have really come to love liquid chemical exfoliants, and this one complete with witch hazel, lactic acid and salicylic acid works so well with my skin. I love the ease of just popping some onto a cotton wool pad and sweeping it across my face. A really refreshing way to apply a product, and it's a real bonus that it actually makes a noticeable difference as well!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Staying on the topic of chemical exfoliants.. I really have become somewhat obsessed with them this year. I may have gone slightly overboard in September/October, as my skin went from looking smooth and perfect, to a little irritated and sad in a matter of weeks, due to me using them on a daily basis. Definitely use these in moderation!! My top picks would be the <b>Pixi Glow Tonic</b>, and <b>Clarins Gentle Exfoliator</b>, as well as <b>REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask</b> for particularly congested days, or weeks when I have been slack with my exfoliation. Especially great to use before a big event to ensure a smooth base to work on for make up!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And last, but not at all least, the lovely<b> Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate.</b> I pop a few drops of this into my palm and massage it over my face before bed. It calms down any irritation, and gives a little kick of hydration without feeling greasy. A little bit of luxury.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really hope some of you find this post helpful, and good luck on your journey to problem free skin! <u>Remember that the food you eat, sleep, hormone imbalances and your surroundings can all also play a part in how your skin looks, so the key is to take everything into consideration and keep stress levels low.</u> </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Since I started working full-time, I've been rather slack with my blogging - something I'm really quite disheartened about. Each month I say, 'This month will be better, I'll get loads done!' ..and before I know it, the month is over. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is ridiculous to think that this year is almost finished already, and despite me feeling like I haven't done anything, I can look back and see that actually, I've been making pretty good use of my time off after all! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm planning a little series of posts intended to help those of you who work a lot, and maybe feel a little guilty about not getting much done, or finding it hard to make time to do things which you enjoy.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you've probably seen by a few of my previous posts, Ben and I have got into a real habit of getting lost in various woodlands, and taking a lot of pictures in the process. It's so lovely that now I have these images to look back on. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We're working on creating a photo album of our times together. There's nothing nicer than flicking though an old album, so it makes sense to create something together that we can enjoy in years to come. I'm lucky that my family were really into recording my early life, and I'm so grateful that I have years of photo, and video footage of my childhood. There is a big gap from the age of about 9 to now.. a lack of evidence that I existed. (Probably for the best, to be honest.. not my greatest years!) So I'm really keen to create some memories, and do something good with those snippets of my life.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Instagram become a key player in helping people do exactly this for a few years now, so the idea is taking it back to a physical, paper format rather than a somewhat over-editted small square on a phone.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I recently picked up a film SLR camera on eBay, as my previous film camera wasn't the best quality, and I wanted the photos to be something I can be proud of. I find working with film so exciting! You put more effort into each shot, as you only get one chance. You never know what you're going to end up with either.. and once that button has been pressed, there's no deleting anything until you're faced with the physical copy in your hand. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, a pretty exciting year ahead, I think! Obviously sometimes it is <b>definitely</b> necessary to just have a lazy day, and do absolutely nothing, but putting more effort into my spare time is beginning to really pay off. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLa4wXQQbmJ0ZAmOAyzEuVQuIp9p74KO8tR5eWl0ylmWZsWI5-flDlUcTVcsAWyr_dp68Aclzr_X92dNjD3Y1KyPbDW9X48EYppxcIn89B-H9p5zf4dA92V2k_oBp86SoFhOL4BNi3mQU/s1600/perfume.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 0; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLa4wXQQbmJ0ZAmOAyzEuVQuIp9p74KO8tR5eWl0ylmWZsWI5-flDlUcTVcsAWyr_dp68Aclzr_X92dNjD3Y1KyPbDW9X48EYppxcIn89B-H9p5zf4dA92V2k_oBp86SoFhOL4BNi3mQU/s1600/perfume.png" height="404" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For me, it's rose season. A little strange perhaps, but I find rose a little too heavy in the summer, but just perfect as the colder weather begins to set in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This particular perfume from Chloé has been sat on top of my drawers all summer. I've been spritzing it here and there, but only now does it feel right to use it. I am a HUGE fan of the original Chloé, it brings back so many memories (funnily enough, of a friend called Chloe..) We used to go into Debenhams when we were younger, and literally cover ourselves in it. It's such a sophisticated, timeless fragrance. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This perfume offers a rosy twist on an old classic, and is a huge winner for me. The lasting power I have found to be incredible, and there is no better use for this perfume than to douse a scarf in it, getting a subtle waft every so often. (Is that just me?!) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you know someone who loves rose fragrances - a great christmas present idea!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I haven't blogged in an entire month. And for that, I apologise! I'm still getting into the swing of full time work, and have had a lot going on, so blogging has taken a back seat. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My cousin is getting married next weekend, and I am to be a bridesmaid. It's been so lovely seeing all of the preparations finally come together, and I'm so excited - no doubt, there'll be a whole tonne of photos, so I'll be sure to pick out a few to pop onto here!<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enough of the rambling, Ben and I recently had a week off together, and during that week, we found the <i>loveliest </i>forest nearby. Thank goodness I packed the camera! The rest of our week wasn't quite so peaceful. Far too much takeaway food, shopping, and a visit to Bicester Village Designer Outlet, along with about half a million other people. We pretty much left empty handed as it was so busy.<br />
<br />
Despite this, we had a wonderful week together, and will definitely be visiting this beautiful place again. There was even a herd of wild horses roaming around, and a tiny foal as well!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm so thankful to live so close to such a lovely place, and for that reason, I don't think I could ever pack up and move far away. I've lived here my whole life, and I'm <i>still</i> discovering new places. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's important to treat yourself once in a while, who's with me?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Recently I've been working a lot more, so not only have I had slightly more money to play around with, but I've also been a lot more tired, and feeling a little strained. Here are a few little 'pick me ups' that I've treated myself to over the past month or so.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First up, this beautiful <a href="http://www.handpickedcollection.com/one-line-a-day-five-year-memory-book.html" target="_blank">'One Line A Day - A Five-Year Memory Book'</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Think the Timehop app in paper form. </b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Each page of this book is dedicated to each day of the year, with about 5-6 lines for each year. You fill in the year at the top of each section, and write away. Come the next year, you fill out the section below, and so on. I haven't actually begun writing in this yet, but I really should start soon - I am so excited to read through it in five years time, and look at how far I will have (hopefully) come by then!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's such a brilliant idea, and would also make a great gift. I picked this up in Waterstones, although I think I may have also spotted it in Urban Outfitters, as well as online on <a href="http://handpickedcollection.com/">handpickedcollection.com</a>, so it's pretty accessible. With beautiful gold-edged paper, it'll look lovely on your shelf as well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up, a MAC eyeshadow - Shroom. As I mentioned in my recent eyeshadow post, I have far too many, but just one more won't hurt, will it??</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And my usual go-to 'pick me up', a new Essie polish. This one is<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Essie-Summer-Collection-Urban-Jungle_1486929/" target="_blank"> 'Urban Jungle'</a>, from their summer collection. I actually had this colour on my toenails for weeks - is it just me, or do some Essie polishes stay on way longer than others? This beautiful pinky-nude is opaque in just one coat, which is pretty fantastic. I'd been using my mum's Ballet Slippers prior to this, which required about 3-4 coats to reach the same colour.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A couple of months ago I picked up a REN gift set for £23. I've absolutely loved everything that came in the set, but can't seem to find it online anymore. It featured some products from the Rosa Centifolia range, and a couple from the Vita Mineral range. Much to my surprise, the moisturiser pictured above, (<a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/ren-vita-mineral-daily-supplement-moisturising-cream-50ml/10832512.html" target="_blank">Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream</a>) is actually a full-size version, and costs £19 on it's own.. which means I got all the rest for just £4, plus a super handy pouch to keep all of my skincare bits in. A bargain! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And last of all, I finally purchased <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Chloe-Roses-de-Chloe-Eau-de-Toilette-Spray-75ml_1374464/" target="_blank">'Roses de Chloé.'</a> I am a huge, huge fan of the original Chloé perfume, and included it in a wishlist post not long ago, as the scent brings back a lot of memories for me. However, I had been itching to try the new rose version ever since I saw <a href="http://www.fromroses.co.uk/" target="_blank">Rebecca</a> talk about it at the beginning of the year, and oh my. What a scent. I won't say too much about this as I have a whole post coming up about it soon, but it's definitely one to go out and sniff, especially if you're a fan of rose fragrances, or love the original Chloé like I do!!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsK3m5U8K0AcPLbldJwx5Dvv9Y6vxOFRbYGSykjWTBprnFlYQZs8emqPRUsHEe02VNPNcjUzG6NmZzK7-FOFRkl-5JxF6_r5ycQfScECrTuOFbU8GN-qZ0U8vPYT7n5jsa4-P_H5hVu9w/s1600/1smaller.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsK3m5U8K0AcPLbldJwx5Dvv9Y6vxOFRbYGSykjWTBprnFlYQZs8emqPRUsHEe02VNPNcjUzG6NmZzK7-FOFRkl-5JxF6_r5ycQfScECrTuOFbU8GN-qZ0U8vPYT7n5jsa4-P_H5hVu9w/s1600/1smaller.png" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Having skin on the slightly oiler side of things means I try to stay away from shimmer as much as possible, especially around my t-zone. Using shimmery bases, or anything <i>too </i>illuminating usually ends badly. However, sometimes my skin just needs a little bit more of a glow, and these are the products I reach for.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's not that I avoid illuminating bases completely, some of my favourite base products are marketed as 'brightening' and 'radiant'. On days where I do happen to reach for a more matte base, I will nearly always finish with a light dusting of <a href="http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/159/30735/Products/Face/Powder/Mineralize-Skinfinish/index.tmpl" target="_blank">MAC's MSF in Lightscapade.</a> This gorgeous powder is ever so fine, and really gives that 'glow from within' look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up - a very similar product, but a tad cheaper, with the added bonus of gorgeous packaging and a beautiful delicate scent. <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Bourjois-Poudre-De-Riz-De-Java_1376978/" target="_blank">Bourjois' Java Rice Powder</a> took the blogging world by storm when it was re-released for their 150 year anniversary last year. The vintage-inspired mint green packaging was a huge hit, and the product inside doesn't disappoint either! A very finely milled pinky-toned loose powder, perfect for sweeping across the tops of your cheeks, or using all over for even more illuminating power.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/benefit-high-beam-luminescent-complexion-enhancer_2519/" target="_blank">Benefit's High Beam </a>is probably my least favourite of the three, as I do prefer my highlighters/illuminators to be in powder form, as I think it helps to make the glow look more natural, and easier to build up in the right places. Having said that, this one definitely shows up more than the other too, and packs more of a glowing punch, as it's thicker. Great if you only want the glow in certain small places, rather than all over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And last of all, <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Sleek-MakeUp-Blush_1395726/" target="_blank">Sleek's Rose Gold blush</a>. On my normal, natural complexion, this doesn't look exactly 'right.' However, when I've added a little more colour to my skin, or been on holiday, this is perfect! A beautiful pink blush with tiny flecks of gold scattered throughout. This is the ultimate blush for tanned skin, and gives a pop of colour and a natural looking glow all in one sweep.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I thought it was about time I wrote another one of these wishlist posts, as not only has it been almost seven months since my previous one, but I find it useful to keep track of what I've currently got my eye on. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So first of all, we have these <a href="http://www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/jeans/superskinny-ripped-jeans-c271007p2045069.html" target="_blank">black skinny jeans from Zara</a>. Zara jeans are my absolute favourites. They fit like a glove, and last ages. (Not to mention, they're sometimes cheaper than Topshop.. and my Topshop ones always break?!) These jeans have ripped details, which I'm quite excited about, as I've never really given them a go before. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now for something slightly (oh, just slightly..!!!) out of my price range are these <a href="http://www.hudsonshoes.com/lochrin-chestnut.html" target="_blank">BEAUTIFUL boots by Hudson shoes</a>. Retailing at £160, I think I'm being a little optimistic here. I actually have them put by in a shop at the moment, here's to hoping I win the lottery within the next week! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I believe it's important to invest in good shoes, especially for winter, and these are just so timeless, I could see myself wearing them years and years into the future. I might have to have a word with Ben about these, and see whether he can help me out as an anniversary present..! ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next, is something I've actually just already purchased. I literally could not keep away from <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Marc-Jacobs-Daisy-Dream-Eau-de-Toilette-50ml_1498244/" target="_blank">this perfume.</a> I went to Boots AND Debenhams the day it was due in, but neither store had it, so I gave up for a while. I had a £5 off reward in Debenhams on my Beauty Card the other day, so it was the perfect opportunity to pick it up! It smells *so* pretty, but I think I'm done with perfumes for a while now. I don't want this to turn into another eyeshadow situation..!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These<a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/sennheiser-momentum-on-ear-headphones-with-mic-remote/p585447" target="_blank"> headphones from Sennheiser</a> caught my eye a couple of months ago, but to be honest, I kind of forgot about them. It wasn't until one of my pairs of apple earphones started to play up that I came across them again. I've never bought myself any 'over the head' headphones before, I've always stuck with Apple ones, so it'll make a nice change! These are also £40 off in John Lewis at the moment, so once again.. perfect timing, or what?! UPDATE: Yep, I couldn't resist them..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And last of all, another rather pricey item, is this gorgeous <a href="http://www.filson.com/products/daypack.70152.html" target="_blank">Filson Daypack</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are hard to get hold of in England, but a shop in my town has a couple in at the moment. I highly doubt I'll ever get it, but it sure is nice to dream! I absolutely love these bags - Ben has a huge one, and they just feel SO thick and durable, yet another thing that would probably last me forever.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, if you do excuse me, I'm off to work out my finances for the next couple of months.. haha!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You have no idea how long it's taken me to make this post! This was one of the very first ideas that I had when I started out blogging.. a year and a half later, here it is.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Usually I try to keep things in my bag to a minimum. I used to be one of those people who carried around literally everything with them, everywhere. Pretty soon, I got fed up with the constant shoulder ache and decided to streamline the contents of my bag.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For all of my little beauty bits, I use this handy <a href="http://www.cathkidston.com/little-bird-zip-purse/view-all/cath-kidston/fcp-product/1008771" target="_blank">Cath Kidston zip pouch.</a> I also have a much lighter coloured floral one, (which I much prefer), but sadly I spilt coffee all over it at some stage, so it's not looking its best anymore! These little pouches retail for just £6, and are <i>so</i> useful. I've had my two for a solid 3 years, and they're sill holding up really well! They can also fit a surprising amount of stuff inside, as you can see. They make it so easy to switch from bag to bag, just slip it in and you've got everything you need, all ready to go!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First of all, yes it is August, and yes this is a post about autumn. Whether you like it or not, autumn is hiding just around the corner. For me, this is <i>great</i>. I'm really not much of a summer person at all, and spend most of my time in jeans and a t-shirt, with an emergency jumper rolled up in my bag. I think I had bare legs twice this year.. and even that was with a midi skirt.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Whilst summer may not be officially over, autumn began creeping it's way into my life last week, when I picked up a gorgeous soft plaid blanket scarf from Zara. The colours are beautiful, and couldn't be more autumnal if they tried. I've been swapping my tan flats for ankle boots, and excitedly eyeing up the thicker knitwear section of my wardrobe. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today's post is about the face cloth which now comes with the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm. (Read my thoughts on that <b><a href="http://www.amyalaska.co.uk/2014/01/emma-hardie-amazing-face-moringa.html" target="_blank">HERE</a></b>)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you're anything like me, you struggle to wash your face without the help of a face cloth. When I find myself without one, I get water everywhere - and end up leaving cleanser on my face. Not ideal! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Over the past year, my mum and I have gone a little overboard with flannels. Just the other day she called me into the bathroom, laughing. Our flannel basket was piled about a foot and a half high in a pyramid formation, with each flannel neatly rolled up. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I personally like to use a fresh flannel each time I wash my face. Now do you see why we have so many?! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Moving on from the flannels.. muslin cloths. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I first tried a muslin cloth at the beginning of last year, when I first purchased Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish. A third one came my way with my first Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. I loved the way they made the cleansing process seem a little more sophisticated, and feel more luxurious.. I always find my skin feels softer and looks brighter after cleansing with one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Having said all that, and leading to the main point of this post - Emma Hardie's face cloth is my new favourite thing. The soft flannel side allows you to get enough water on your face, and the muslin side is perfect for gentle exfoliation and ensuring every drop of cleanser is removed. Whoever came up with this fantastic idea? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now I'm just wishing all of my face cloths were 2-in-1...</div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpIotp6BpOS3t8-Wwjewxzh9QYrP8OwhYIqDpidbx97ixbUpX5rtbjKhI6h3VyDMdrbUzQ2OC2_9WSYiFYTZ6R08NU5ll8icuYGkP_NKcZApY3MJ6EMRE4SlI04JVDbO5vwrC06gT6vSM/s1600/mangosmaller.png" height="426" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How long has this been on my 'to buy' list? Too long. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Korres is a brand that has always intrigued me, (yes that may be down to their packaging..) but I've never given any of their products a go, until now. It took me a while deciding which flavour/colour lip butter to go for, but in the end I settled for the Mango.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<span style="background-color: #dddddd;">I</span> love orange tinted lip products, as I think they help to brighten up my whole face. However, I'm not too keen on orange-toned <i>lipsticks</i>, as I find the effect is ruined when the colour is <u>too</u> strong.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This lip butter offers a very subtle tint, (the perfect amount of orange-ness, just enough to add that hint of orange to my natural lip colour) whilst being extremely nourishing, and smelling <i>so</i> fruity! Mango is one of my favourite scents, and this does not disappoint!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If I remember correctly, I have this Lip Butter mixed with Soap & Glory's Gloss Stick in Nudist on in my sidebar picture. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm excited to give some of the other ones a whirl now that I know the formula is a win, have you ever tried any of these before? If so I'd love to know which ones you recommend! </div>

No More Eyeshadow<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEholGSGg4WhmqYm1YxNP_kJtqhceKICSn4Yc0S135pjwynFnoT2DK8MsP336lB-cOhb7A6CkaXpEmT17j0ubAG_tw6UxfCgnJ7Jwegs0XDxPQAPLoq5WysOzJOGR-8udsO7oT5y84ByFk8/s1600/notetoself..+no+more+eyeshadow.png" height="410" width="640" /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
For someone who wears eyeshadow once or twice a week (at the very most), I'm very aware that my little stash is a bit over the top. All of this for just two little eyelids? Yes, I know it's ridiculous. It's not even that there's so many, it's also the fact that many are SO similar. I have a problem.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Eyeshadows, whilst not my highest priority in the mornings, are one of my favourite things to buy. I get drawn in by all of the different colours, and the shimmers, the satins, the mattes.. Oh a light brown? Yes, I have about 5 already.. but this one is different, I swear! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wish I could use them on a daily basis, but I'm not the greatest at getting up on time, so find that I usually don't have time to pat on a pretty colour. ..And I'll <i>always</i> choose eyeliner over eyeshadow if I'm pushed for time.<br />
<br /></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrqGIeDsfweimN6IqJG6kdI1CsZKucXZTSP57ZRFXT6nm0xsPcVBcY57PzcY8nWSRI89waV84Y22X727yDVYkN1naSVpuDVHbnByIkXMUOCu7_iH8U5I202mv6m5sN2RhzHqutf3vmDRc/s1600/2.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrqGIeDsfweimN6IqJG6kdI1CsZKucXZTSP57ZRFXT6nm0xsPcVBcY57PzcY8nWSRI89waV84Y22X727yDVYkN1naSVpuDVHbnByIkXMUOCu7_iH8U5I202mv6m5sN2RhzHqutf3vmDRc/s1600/2.png" height="426" width="640" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My first venture into 'sensible and wearable' eyeshadows (goodbye 13 year-old me's blues, purples and shimmery whites..!) began with these little 'Color Tattoo' pots from Maybelline. With a promise of 24-hour-colour, these drew me in, and I used to use them a fair amount. The colours shown above are 35-On and On Bronze, 65-Pink Gold, and 40-Permanent Taupe. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I spent a few weeks trying to track down <b>Permanent Taupe</b> to use through my eyebrows.. I'm not sure how that went in the end, as I can't remember ever trying it again! I'll have to give it another go on the brows soon, as I remember the colour doesn't quite suit my lids.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Pink Gold</b> is one that I love to use as a base pinky-toned shades from Naked 3. This is such a beautiful shade, but you only need a tiny touch of this.. a little goes a long way.. (so don't cover your entire lid in pink!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>On and On Bronze</b> is the first one I picked up. A beautiful colour which gives<i> just</i> the right amount of shimmer.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmBH3VYXspTL6lk7x6DbPDyBH3o0fy-f56_AlVEm2Dhe8lsPX2WWDLVYNJe8550xw4amTIlcrFYOFcjfT3MrIrIxx-uC-pCuxbi_kxT2WKnvzMaZ7BFHecCdQQtgi-uO7wavrQtpVyqpw/s1600/3.png" height="404" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
You've all seen these before, <b>Naked 2&3</b>. I feel like writing about Naked palettes is some sort of beauty blogging right of passage. I don't think I've ever mentioned these on my blog before, but I was lucky enough to receive both as a gift from Ben at the beginning of the year. Beautiful palettes, beautiful shades. The overwhelming temptation to try the original Naked is too much to bear! I'm thinking I might pop it on a christmas list or something.. I'd feel far too guilty if I bought it myself.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Favourite shades from Naked 2: <b>Bootycall, Suspect, Verve and Pistol.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Favourite shades from Naked 3: <b style="font-weight: bold;">Strange, Burnout, Liar and Mugshot.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another thing to point out, the samples of eyeshadow primer that you get with these palettes are amazing. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>TOP TIP:</u></b> Rather that ripping off the top of the sachet, or cutting the corner off, just pierce them with a pin and they won't dry out as fast! :) This goes for all sample-sized sachets. (Thank you to the lady at Kiehl's for telling me this!)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><b><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjce34E_7bp2j_obilaFDiuOkWEA3dV-AiqTj5CzhshqVikSMLukPrZLPld6-wvXSBGt-XBHMrP9fzAjuaEH8jHhnb18q3DdzjxAXCDBLZE9mu4ofWPeoMYOGhkU_kJ36YZUf4rGav2Ir4/s1600/4.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><b><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjce34E_7bp2j_obilaFDiuOkWEA3dV-AiqTj5CzhshqVikSMLukPrZLPld6-wvXSBGt-XBHMrP9fzAjuaEH8jHhnb18q3DdzjxAXCDBLZE9mu4ofWPeoMYOGhkU_kJ36YZUf4rGav2Ir4/s1600/4.png" height="414" width="640" /></b></a></b></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And finally, the Naked Basics palette, and two MAC shadows.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I snapped up the Naked Basics with a 20% voucher from Debenhams right as I started this blog. 'Naked 2' is my most used shade here. When I was fully blonde, I used this shade through my brows every day. Every single colour in this palette has it's use, and it's a fantastic one to take away with you on holiday, as it doesn't take up much room either!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The MAC shadows I only picked up a couple of months ago (if that). Spurred on by Rebecca's post <a href="http://www.fromroses.co.uk/2014/06/one-last-shadow.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>, I went on a quest to find Shroom, as another friend had also mentioned in the past, so I was keen to give it a go. A lady at MAC offered to put some on for me before I bought it, and then asked if there was anything else I'd like to try. At this point I mentioned Naked Lunch.. and well, the rest is history. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Let me just say one thing. Being on an eyeshadow-spending-ban and having a half full MAC quad is hard...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for reading, and I'd love to hear what you think down below! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Also I'd love to take the time to say a massive thank you to all</b> <u>700</u> <b>of you readers!! I didn't even notice that number creep up, it's such a joy seeing that so many of you enjoy what I do on here, so thank you!</b></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I'm sharing with you one of my favourite perfumes at the moment - this gorgeous fragrance from Roger & Gallet! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
'Gingembre Rouge'* is a new take on Roger & Gallet's 'Gingembre' released 11 years ago. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A beautiful light Zanzibar-inspired fruity/citrus scent with a ginger kick to it, Gingembre Rouge is unlike anything I've ever sniffed in the past. </div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I do apologise for my pretty poor description, and whilst it is pretty sweet, you won't go around smelling like a gingerbread man, don't worry! (Although that would probably actually be really nice?!) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For me this hit just the right spot. The notes blend so nicely together, and no fragrance 'jumps out' more so than the others. The citrus aspect takes you away from the baking side of 'ginger', creating a really unusual blend which I just can't get enough of!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I absolutely love Roger & Gallet's fragrant waters, and have tried the 'Fleur de Figuer'* before as well. (If you're a fan of figgy fragrances, you will ADORE that one, and so perfect for the colder months!) Although they tend not to be strong as a normal perfume, each spray really does give quite a big kick of fragrance! For me, the smell is still very slightly lingering by the afternoon, but ideally you'd want to top it up after 6 hours or so to ensure it sticks around.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These fragrant waters come in two different sizes, 30ml/£16.00 & 100ml/£32.00 and are available at John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Feel Unique, Escentual and House of Fraser.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5WjSZGDIMu7LzxJIZdvg7AvgJVAPNUbe0RwTkhHgK_XEtCtCsGpwBwYYpv9rIfJZIFoWWrwnIaFdPrDJq5M03ZEYODoOEqEXDw71N3t0aP8Ndn_-Cs7LXjn9izEP-yu9UTQCSLYlGFF8/s1600/Morningskincare.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5WjSZGDIMu7LzxJIZdvg7AvgJVAPNUbe0RwTkhHgK_XEtCtCsGpwBwYYpv9rIfJZIFoWWrwnIaFdPrDJq5M03ZEYODoOEqEXDw71N3t0aP8Ndn_-Cs7LXjn9izEP-yu9UTQCSLYlGFF8/s1600/Morningskincare.png" height="446" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My skincare routine seems to have finally 'settled'. Whilst I do still enjoy chopping and changing my products around to suit my skin at the time, I've stayed quite loyal to these five, and they're doing a pretty good job.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm is currently running <i>painfully</i> low. I received some money off vouchers from Feel Unique the other day... <b>it's like they knew</b>. This will 100% be repurchased time and time again. The smell, the feeling of it on my skin, and the cleansing effectiveness - 10/10.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Effaclar Duo [+] needs no explanation. See my full post <a href="http://www.amyalaska.co.uk/2014/02/la-roche-posay-effaclar-duo-before.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>. I've actually been cutting down to using this 3-4 times a week instead of twice daily, as I no longer suffer from acne, (horray!!) and my dark marks have pretty much disappeared. It's a truly lovely product, and so easy to apply as it feels so light on the skin. I've recommended this product to so many people, and for good reason!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Daily sun protection is super important to me, so it's no wonder my La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF50+ Dry Touch Gel-Cream (phew!) is also almost finished. I've just reviewed some more from the range <a href="http://www.amyalaska.co.uk/2014/07/la-roche-posay-anthelios-xl-comfort.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>, so I won't go on about this too much, but it's definitely one of the best facial suncreams I've tried.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now that I've cut down on my Effaclar Duo[+], it's made way for different exfoliants. I gave the <u style="background-color: #f9f9f9; color: #777777; font-family: Tinos; line-height: 18.479999542236328px;"><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Clarins-Gentle-Exfoliator-Brightening-Toner-125ml_1036336/" target="_blank">Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner </a></u><span style="background-color: #f9f9f9;"><span style="font-family: Tinos;"><span style="line-height: 18.479999542236328px;"> a go on </span></span><a href="http://www.alittleboatsailing.com/" style="font-family: Tinos; line-height: 18.479999542236328px;" target="_blank">Amy's</a><span style="font-family: Tinos;"><span style="line-height: 18.479999542236328px;"> recommendation, and it's given me really good results so far. I use this a couple of times a week after cleansing in the morning. Remember your SPF after using this though, as exfoliating makes your skin more susceptible to UV damage! I sometimes swap this for the <a href="http://www.pixibeauty.co.uk/glow-tonic" target="_blank">Pixi Glow Tonic</a> as well, depending on whichever one is closest to me at the time! Both make my skin smoother and much, much more even in texture.</span></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: #f9f9f9;"><span style="font-family: Tinos;"><span style="line-height: 18.479999542236328px;"><br />
</span></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: #f9f9f9;"><span style="font-family: Tinos;"><span style="line-height: 18.479999542236328px;">Finally, an occasional treat. The <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Clinique-Moisture-Surge-Extended-Thirst-Relief-for-all-Skin-Types-50ml_117592/" target="_blank">Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief </a> offers a big kick of hydration, so I actually love to use this around my eyes and the tip of my nose, and on any dry patches overnight. I feel it would be a little too rich for use all over (at the moment anyway!) but I can tell we're going to be good friends come winter, when my skin is a lot dryer overall.</span></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I never really do much with my hair, but since switching up my routine (and actually noticing a difference), I thought I'd talk about what I'm using at the moment, as I'm really impressed!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>First, a little hair history.</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I wash my hair every few days, but sometimes on a daily basis, especially if I've been running. My go-to hairstyle is parted on the side, with bits pinned up at the back, and a few loose curls added using GHDs. (See photo over there >>)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My hair is naturally quite poofy, but used to have quite a strong wave going through it, which has lessened over the years, probably the result of how much I used to torture it with bleach and dyes!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been trying to grow it longer this year, as around this time last year, I cut it to just below my shoulders after a bit of a bleach disaster, which left me with white/bright yellow hair which was literally breaking off in my hands. Only now am I feeling back to my normal self - short hair isn't for me!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Health-wise, my hair is pretty good at the moment. I've kept up to date with my trims, and most of the damage left behind from last year seems to have finally gone. The ends feel thicker, and I don't feel so guilty every time I brush it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Now onto the products.</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
John Frieda is a brand which I used to love when I was a little younger, I used to be a huge fan of the Brunette range they do, when I had dyed my hair a lot darker. Whilst wondering the aisles of Boots last month, I came across these two, and the pump-bottle really appealed to me, as I am always dropping bottles on my toes in the shower trying to shake the last bits out, so I decided to give them a go. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I went for the <b><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/John-Frieda-Luxurious-Volume-Touchably-Full-Shampoo-500ml_1401446/" target="_blank">Luxurious Volume Shampoo</a></b>, and the <b><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/John-Frieda-Full-Repair-Hydrate-Rescue-Conditioner-500ml_1401444/" target="_blank">Full Repair Conditioner</a></b>. I know that conditioners can't physically repair damage, but it really softens my hair and leaves it super shiny, and the shampoo cleanses without leaving it flat and lifeless.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm actually at the end of the conditioner bottle now, and am keen to investigate the other ranges by John Frieda, as I was pleasantly surprised by this one!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up, a hair oil. This <b><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Argania-Organic-Moroccan-Argan-Hair-Oil-Light-100ml_1261676/" target="_blank">lightweight argan-oil based hair treatment from Argania</a></b> is SO good, trust me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I apply a small amount to the lengths and ends of my hair after I get out of the shower, before combing it through. It detangles, and makes my hair dry (using a hairdryer) in the <i>nicest</i> way. It softens and nourishes without weighing my hair down. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I went for the 'Light' version, and aside from the amazing results it produces, it's virtually undetectable on the hair. No greasiness, stickiness or anything.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Did I mention it also doubles as a heat protectant? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Still not convinced? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well it smells like vanilla cupcakes. How can you resist?!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lastly, this little orange <b><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Denman-Shower-Massage-Brush_1189991/" target="_blank">shower and massage brush from Denman</a></b>. To use, it feels very similar to the Tangle Teezer, except this one has a little handle, making it ideal for use in the shower, without it slipping out of your hand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love to use this to gently distribute my conditioner through my hair, and detangle it before hop out of the shower.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The shampoo and conditioner retails at £8.99 each (500ml), but I managed to get them in the 3 for 2 </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
with the oil (£14.99 / 100ml), so I ended up getting one free! The Denman comb is £3.69.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The shampoo & conditioner are currently 1/3 off at Boots.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for reading, and I'd love to hear what you think down below! :)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This month I've been running a little more often, and picked up these lovely <b>exercise leggings</b> from Sports Direct for just £5 each! They're super stretchy, and 'one size fits all' - so they're really comfortable. Although I find I do have to have them bunched up to just below my knee or they begin to head south! The lilac ones also match my trainers perfectly, so I'm very glad I found them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next up are these gorgeous <b>postcards from Rifle Paper Co</b>. I am a woman possessed when it comes to these! If I happened to find any lurking in the corners of shops, I simply have to take them to the till. I found a couple during my trip to Brighton, and picked up a couple more from a shop in my hometown. I currently have them dotted around my bedroom, but hope to frame a couple one day when I get my own place. Since writing this post, I've bought four more for upcoming birthdays and weddings!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now for an unusual one.. <b>Udi's Gluten Free Granola</b>. I am a massive fan of granola, and love to begin my day with a big bowl of the stuff along with some chopped banana and berries. Recently I've been trialling a gluten free diet, so was over the moon to find this little bag in Tesco! Wonderfully crunchy, and ever so slightly sweet, this gets two thumbs up from me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On to music, I've fallen oh so deeply back in love with <b>Bon Iver</b>. My current favourite is <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEBq5cfH_cc" target="_blank">'Michicant'</a>. A simply beautiful song, and perfect summer evening driving soundtrack.<br />
Also give <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9yv9TcQoww" target="_blank">Fences' new song 'Arrows'</a> a listen. It came out yesterday and has been on repeat in my car ever since. I'm a huge Fences fan, and am over the moon that there's a new album coming out. (Another reason why <a href="http://www.fromroses.co.uk/" target="_blank">From Roses</a> is one of my favourite blogs; and caught my eye in the first place!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found this lovely drink in M&S the other day, and I am hooked. <b>'Moroccan Mint & White Tea', </b>it's just <u>so</u> good, especially ice cold from the cooler! I'll be picking this up every time I treat myself to an M&S lunch during work.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last of all, the smallest thing in the whole picture, which you probably can't even see, and didn't notice (so I'll pop a close up down below!) is a gorgeous white/rose gold<b> bee ring</b> from Accessorize. I spotted it in their sale a couple of week ago, and it was part of a set of three. I've since lost the other 2 rings that came with it, but was only really interested in the bee anyway. It's barely left my finger since I left the shop!</div>

It's been a funny few months. I finally feel like I'm growing up. I've been thinking about my future a fair bit, and have come up with a little to-do list for over the course of the next year or so. Where better to document it than on my blog?</div>
