Recent purchases!

Pay day finally arrived, along with a nice bonus! I thought I'd make the most of it, and treat myself to a few things I wouldn't usually get.

1. Palmer's Ultra Moisturising Lip Balm (Dark Chocolate & Mint) - £1.99 (Boots)
I picked this up, as recently I've been trying out a lot of the Palmer's range, and absolutely adore the cocoa butter fragrance! This lip balm also has SPF 15, which is going to be great for all this sunshine we've been having recently! It's a very nice shape, a bit like an oval-cylinder, and it feels very smooth on your lips!

2. Map Print Scarf - £18 (Topshop)
I have to say, usually I wouldn't even dream of paying this much for a scarf, which is surprising as I'm rarely seen without one! However, with student discount taken into consideration, I decided to get it - and I'm so glad I did! It's a very light material, so perfect for the spring weather, and the print is gorgeous! It first caught my eye a few weeks ago, so the second time round I couldn't resist.

3. Rimmel Apocalips in 'Luna' - £4.99 (Boots)
This is the second shade of 'Apocalips' I've tried, the first being 'Celestial', which is a lot more pinky in colour. I decided to get this one as well, as after recently switching to a peachy blush, I wanted a more peachy lip product as well. The consistency is wonderful, and it stays on for hours! Definitely worth the money and the hype - I love it!

4. Botanics Radial Brush - £8.69 (Boots)
For the past few weeks I've swapped my plastic/metal-spined brush for a natural bristle brush, and the results had been amazing! My hair has been so much smoother and softer, and less prone to knots. I picked up this 'radial' brush to help with styling in the morning, and I'm looking forward to trying it out!

5. Dove Hair Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo and Express Treatment Conditioner - £1.24/£1.69 (Boots)
For those of you who read my 'No Poo Challenge' post, I regret to inform you that I've given up! I dyed my hair a slightly darker shade, cut in a fringe, and switched back to shampoo and conditioner! I decided I'd be better off starting it again in the summer, without college getting in the way. However, I ditched my usual Herbal Essences, and went back to my all time favourite, the Dove Oil Care range. I've used these products countless times in the past, and nothing really compares. My  hair responds really well to oil treatments, so these work perfectly! My hair is so soft, and smells great! These were half price in Boots when I got them, so I really couldn't resist!

6. Garnier Fresh Essentials Refreshing Toner and Cleansing Lotion - £3.15 each - 2 for £4 (Boots)
I have to admit, I haven't tried these products yet, but I'm determined to get into a better skincare regime! I finally have clear skin-ish, and have come off my antibiotics, so I thought I'd better start treating my skin right! For only £4 for them both, I decided to give them a try. They are for normal to combination skin, and are enriched with grape extract and pro-vitamin B5. I can't wait to try them tonight!
7. Rimmel Scandal'eyes Mascara - £6.99 (Boots)
I got this mascara free from a promotion Boots are currently running which I heard about through Beth, 'Spend £10 and get a free mascara', so I picked up another Apocalips (mentioned earlier) and some nail polish. I tried this mascara out as soon as I got home, and it's great! The brush is quite big and thick (which I prefer over thin, bendy ones) and it applies really well. I'm not usually fussed on which mascara I use, but this one has really caught my attention! Rimmel is really impressing me at the moment.

8. Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in 'Peppermint' - £4.49 (Boots)
I'm a real fan of minty colours, and whilst looking for something else to make my total up to £10 for the mascara, this caught my eye! It's quite a bluey-mint colour, and goes on really well! I applied 2 coats on top of a clear base coat, and it's great. It has a 'gel-like finish' but isn't as gel-ish as Barry M's Gelly range. However, it's very, very shiny, and promises up to 10 days of wear!

9. Haiti Peep Toe Cut Out Shoes in Tan - £35 (Topshop)
I've been looking for some new flat-sandal type shoes for a while now, and have always loved the style of Topshop's flats, so when I saw these, it was love at first sight! The price did seem a little excessive at first, but since discovering that they're 100% leather, I felt they might be worth it. I've been wearing these everyday since, and they're very comfy! No blisters or tight-areas like you usually find with flats, and the leather is very soft.

10. Basic Neppy Tee in Khaki - £14 (Topshop)
My wardrobe rarely consists of anything plain, so I thought this basic tee would be a great addition! I love the colour, and it looks great with so many things! I'm really considering buying more of these in different colours, as I love the fit and rolled up sleeves.

11.  Ingredients Coconut & Almond Leave-In Conditioner for normal - dry hair - £1.39 (Boots)
I'm a big fan of leave-in conditioners, so for £1.39 I thought this would be worth a shot! It smells absolutely delicious, and does seem to make my hair softer. Hopefully it'll help me on my way to nicer, healthier hair!
